john wayne is the man.

watched True Grit yesterday (i've been on the lookout for this flick for a year, and finally found it at Chapters of all places), the conclusion to a very very nice weekend. i could wax neverendingly on the awesomeness that is the Duke, but methinks the words would not be appreciated by most of y'all.

somehow, i think the part of me that adores john wayne movies is the same part that likes the clothes i buy and the music i listen to. the part of me, coincidentally, is seemingly either completely misunderstood or completely disapproved of by most of the teeming masses.

tonight, we watch either Withnail & I or the mighty Das Boot. gosh, i love PVRs. they are awesome, but they are turning me and Ali into a couple of movie-aholics.
