let's see, then.

the bachelor party was highly classy, most fun, and easy on the morals. typical of alan, really.
the wedding day itself was a heck of a lot of fun. it began with a rousing few rounds of Dead Rising, followed by a tasty breakfast, bought by one of alan's cousins (these generous relatives of his put me firmly in uncharted waters). then we got dressed, such as it were, and headed off. i got us there on time and in good condition (duty 1 accomplished), saw them get married, and zipped off to the reception hall.
speech went as it should have, and hopefully the bride and groom listened carefully to my very sincere advise...
only one guy was to be found wearing his tie around his head later in the evening, which in and of itself was absolutely fantastic. the service and quality of the Atwater Club us utterly stellar.
alan was in good form, and really enjoyed himself.
then sunday evening was spent at the pub with the bride/groom, and his cousin from scotland w/wife. another massive dose of generosity later and i was recovering from quite a few Lagavulins (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) and a couple of pints all of yesterday.

the end.

oh, and now alan and wife are in a private cabin on the train to halifax. compared to the italian monstrosity weddings, this past weekend was utterly elegant, pleasant, and genuine. my compliments.

look forward to an evening with the two of them when they return to montreal next week.
