that was a really entertaining show

there was no angst or repressed pain anywhere to be found. instead, there were 5 talented musicians having fun and doing their best to keep the crowd entertained. they are freaking hilarious, incidentally. the improvised montreal rap, accompanied by Funk Banjo(tm) and Accordion was a jewel.

they didn't play Yoko Ono or Box Set, unfortunately, but every other tune was hit. the only weak point, if that, was the opening "...k I don't make films, but if i did they'd have a samurai..." song, which i can clearly imagine is nigh impossible to perform live anyway. the timing and tempo are brutal.

on another note, i heard some hockey scores on the radio this morning.

carolina, tampa bay, phoenix, san jose...see anything wrong with this picture? no? WTF is hockey doing in these towns? the bloody panthers won the cup last year, and they have fucking two for one free lobster nights to get fat greasy heart disease-y southern american butts in the seats!!!
stop diluting the already limited talent pool by putting teams in areas where they never see ice, have no youth hockey leagues, and can't fucking spell hockey anyway!

carry on.
