The world is a poorer place today

Luciano Pavarotti, once a potential football pro and since the greatest tenor voice i've ever heard, is gone. vacuous meaningless gimicky useless fucking "macaroni art" music seems to be par for the course lately, and even the so-called new breed of opera singers are just sensationists pandering to their niche audience.

just take two photos side by side and you may understand what i'm getting at, or look at short videos (gotta love youtube). find one of pavarotti singing Nessun Dorma or O Sole Mio. Pay careful attention to the expression of pure joy on his face. then watch Lotti or Buble or any of the new wave doing the same song.
