the times, they better @#$#@ be a-changin'

quite tired. quite nervous. quite fed up. what is to be done? i'll do some thinking about that one...
on a positive note, Doom3 night continues, and i've made the shadowrun character. he's rather interesting for me to play. i continue to regress into my youth...

mmmmmonday

well, i'm back. and in case you were wondering, yes it is thick with teh suk. i feel very comfortable in china, and am strongly considering a more long-term trip, somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 months at a time...
it's strictly in the interest of self-preservation...

all systems are go?

i'm nearly ready for my trip. only have a couple more things to prep:
1-cash (US$-done, RMB-still to convert)/
2-tickets to be picked up at travel agent.
3-pack, and decide which suitcase to use.
4-movies via cfoo?

i hope everything goes ok. i have two layovers each way, which means more chances for stuff to go wrong, though it also means more chances for me to hang out in cool elite club lounge thingies.

wish me luck,
c

/checking...ok. byron's still dead. whew!

a bit of advice to Za regarding the putrescent pubertarians: pull the both of them into a private area and tell them the following: The way you're acting will guarantee you a less than good life. The level of involvement others will have in determining just how much misery you experience will be determined by your behaviour. It's up to you.
Then, if they don't change, proceed to do everything in the book to make your prediction come true. this is critical: everything...in...the...book.
They'll change or leave, and one day when they're 3/4 through their savings, booze, and divorce trial, they'll remember your words.

winter's finally here! now i can officially go mad.

strange, is it not? ridiculously mild winter, followed by MARCH FROM HELL. it's almost as if we couldn't possibly even maintain a shred of hope that a winter season would pass without breaking us...

so china's confirmed. i leave on the 16th and return on the 26th-ish. the stumbling block: my flight bounces off vancouver, and then caroms off taipei, before finally grinding to a halt in honk kong (read backwards for return). then, i make my way to the SuperDuperTurboRocket (seriously, no sarcasm. it has turbine engines) ferry to Shenzhen, from which a bus takes me to the town i need.

anybody watch The Amazing Race on tv? i'll be living it.

ooh! ooh! johnny made 21 last night, and is 3 bubs from 22. i got home early due to unforeseen difficulties with the thing and the stuff, and decided to log on and try to get the TF done. well, 10 minutes of recruiting later, and i had 3 other warm bodies to qualify for the mission, which i for all intents and purposes soloed. johnny NEVER lost more than 1/4 health, and NEVER lost more than 1/2 his stamina, while basically never sheathing his sword. methinks he is now becoming quite the awesome hero. what's funny is that there was another katana/sr scrapper on board for the tf, and he was TEH SUXXORS, dropping every other encounter, constantly out of end, etc etc...

Marcmarcmarc would be so proud to see li'l Johnny Guano in action now...

at lvl 22, i'm going to need to beg some serious coin from the boys, though, as it will be Single Origin shopping time, and JG only has about 100k...

well, true believers, the last of B5 will be watched tonight, in all likelihood...

all good things, huh?

BYRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(shaking fist)

'ere we go, 'ere we go, 'ere we go

netfest saturday. yay! st patty's sunday yay! (eeek! sez my liver).
china next week. sigh!
stupid expensive plane tickets.
:(
plus side, it looks like we've decided to outright hire an old colleague of my father's to spearhead the US invasion. i think it's an excellent first step, and have high hopes.
ok, china. bring it on, then!

lightning message ACTIVATE!

at the montreal office. looks like i have to arrange a crash trip to China in 2 weeks. i pray that there are reasonable (ie, not Air Canada) rates on business class this time. AC has a 1300$ flight, and then a 6,500$ business fare. gotta love that pus-filled maggot-riddled excuse for an airline!

i need to redefine verbose

my boss has the uncanny ability to keep me on the cell phone in perpetuity. he has taken to calling and chatting with one of us during 1)his drive into the office in the morning, 2)his drive to lunch, 3)during/after lunch, and 4)his drive home.

holy crap is it annoying.

so, the stage is set for the thing with the stuff, incidentally. now i must coordinate the establishment with the attendees and vice versa.

oooooooh, i hate when he calls me soooooooooooooo much. it inevitably derails my train of thought, occupies my fucking attention for 15 minutes average, and then leaves me with executive assistant trained monkey fucking tasks to bog down my day. type this for me, call him for me, write this for me, arrange that for me. gggggggrrrrrrrraaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh.

oh well. keep piling it on, because i choose to accept that which i cannot change.

i'd love to just be surly and send everyone, including the powertripping glorified office clerk, straight to where they tempt me to send them.

well, back to the tedious and annoying.

later all!

ps: somebody find me a bulletproof excuse to bail early, and i'll love you forever!

ouchies

woke up with a twinge in my neck. twinges are evil little creatures that usually infest the bodies of the old and decrepit (sp?). i guess my membership card should be in the mail...
