okay, so i'm mortal and i get a cold. what i have trouble understanding is why i cannot stop being sick. i can make my eyes close, hold my breath, jump up and down, etc, but i cannot stop my nose from leaking or this cough from occuring...

oh, and marcmarcmarc, if you're reading this, please tell Xtien that all the emails i've been trying to send out have been bouncing back. please tell him not to worry about me regarding habs tickets. i can't figure out (fevers render me unable to think clearly...) which games i wanna go see anyway, so i'll take my chances with scalpers later in the season.

a) pretty crummy. head's all stuffed up, there's an infrequent but painful
cough, and a general sense of weakness...
b) nope. i'll call them tomorrow to find out what's up with it...
c) absolutely. i'm fixing to go this weekend perhaps, and though the good
old days of me being able to pass my gun over to someone else for a few
shots are over by order of the government, it should still be interesting
for you. besides, if the range we tend to go to is still as casual, maybe it
won't be an issue...
d) is there a tomorrow night? if i'm feeling better enough, that would be a
good time. perhaps a drink would be in order.
e) are you crazy? that movie would probably kill me. anything except
exorcism movies, my man. those are bone-marrow level scary.

commence reminiscing. i probably shouldn't have looked through all those things from 10+ years ago...
it's very interesting the way we tend to move in circles, isn't it? we shift around and distract ourselves with different goals and carrots to chase, rarely if ever pausing to assess whether or not we're on the correct track.
it's not all bad, contrary to the prevalent theme of my one line blog, but suffice it to say that i could use a strong restorative of the soul variety.
and by i, i pretty much mean almost everybody.

on a side note, since i'm posting from home, things are pretty good. the weekend was rather pleasant. had an excellent coffee session with da 'Foo on friday, a decent 80's movie afterwards, and a normal saturday involving some home stuff and a relaxing evening (are you boys building an interoceter in there?). today was Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! did the whole shopping thang, followed by a picnic in the parc (ali did nap, of course), and then FOOTBALL! and 4 more episodes of Firefly. excellent, excellent show. Naked captain. HA!

on yet another side note, methinks a few days down in 'Frisco are in order for yours truly. I s'pose I owe it to the Old Man (not papa) to get on down there. 'Sides, I gotta get away from the office. I think my stamina is the most precious resource I have at the moment. and by precious i mean rare and coveted.
